This 3D model serves as a base for holding rods attached to optical equipment used in experiments. It is part of the Open-source optics project aimed at significantly reducing the cost of scientific optical hardware.

Purpose: Designed to support optical components in various experiments.

Construction Features:

Available in two versions: a flat base for use on a regular table and a version with a cutout for a magnet, allowing for secure attachment to a magnetic surface.
The model can be customized using OpenSCAD files to fit specific user requirements.

Printing Recommendations: It is recommended to print on any open-source 3D printer. To toggle the magnet hole in the .Scad file, change the line: magnet_hole = true; to magnet_hole = false;.
