RAR Print is a 3D printer that can be assembled by printing most of its parts and utilizing components from old CD/DVD drives.

Purpose: This printer is designed for creating high-quality 3D objects at a low cost.

Construction Features:

  • Printer Dimensions (LxWxH): 290 mm x 190 mm x 200 mm
  • Build Volume (LxWxH): 80 mm x 80 mm x 80 mm
  • Minimum Layer Height: 10 Microns
  • Precision: Same as CD/DVD disks
  • Utilizes CD/DVD drive optics and a UV diode
  • Controlled by Arduino Mega 2560

Printing Recommendations:

  • You will need 2 kg of PLA plastic, 5-10 CD/DVD drives, a DVD-ROM optic system, and a UV LED with specifications around 400 nm and power ranging from 100-1000 mW.
  • Ensure that printed parts are correctly oriented before printing. If you have a limited build volume, you can split parts into smaller pieces and print them separately.
