This model is a housing for the HC-SR05 ultrasonic module, designed to fit into a 2" PVC union and connect to a 2" PVC pipe, functioning as a still well.
It is used for measuring liquid levels in tanks and containers. The design allows the HC-SR05 module to sit flush with the removable half of the union end.
The model includes a holder for an Arduino Nano and a lid, based on a previous Arduino box design. It serves as a cost-effective alternative to ultrasonic level transmitters that are ten times more expensive.
