This model is an OpenSCAD file for creating a magazine and file holder of any size. It includes a Python script that adds a repeating pattern of oval holes in the walls. Using ovals with the long axis parallel to the Z-axis reduces filament usage and weight without the need for supports, provided the ovals are at least twice as tall as they are wide.

The script generates a fractal-like pattern, starting with the largest ovals (size and aspect ratio specified by you), and then fills in smaller ovals while maintaining a minimum solid wall width between the oval edges. The script is available on GitHub.
