This lantern is modeled after the one from the Outer Wilds DLC. Two sizes are available:
- Large: X: 294 mm; Y: 294 mm; Z: 394 mm
- Small: X: 190 mm; Y: 190 mm; Z: 255 mm
Check out the video of the large lantern in action. Note: When scaling, keep the light socket screw holes and diffuser grooves unchanged for proper fitting. Do not use incandescent bulbs as they may cause fire hazards; opt for LEDs instead.
Materials:
- PLA
- Diffuser: 10 mil Mylar sheets (Mylar sheets)
- Light socket: E27 socket
- Electric cord, plug, and switch
- Smart bulb or LED in your preferred color (LED bulb)
Instructions:
- 3D print the two pieces with supports.
- Cut Mylar to size.
- Glue Mylar to the underside of the lid.
- Create a cooling hole in the lid.
- Pull the cord through the base.
- Assemble and insert diffusers.
