This model features a planet gear design for Tarmo4 that enhances the transmission ratio from 2.625:1 to 42:1, delivering impressive torque to your vehicle's wheels.
Required printed parts:
- 1x crown2-v2
- 1x crown1-v2
- 1x sun-gear-v2
- 1x ring-gear-v2
- 6x planet-gear-v2 (or 6x planet-gear-wo-bearings-v2)
- 6x planet-gear-spacer-v2 (to be placed between bearings and crown)
- 1x 7B
- 1x 7A
- 1x Chassis_01A_outerrunner_19mm_extended_motor_mount (if necessary)
Limitations:
- The motor mount is shifted back by 19mm, requiring modification of 01A (similar to Tarmo4 - Extended Gearbox).
- The gear mesh produces significant noise.
- The 3542 motor with 1450kv spins up quickly, so it's advised to grease the rings with PTFE grease.
Bill of Materials:
- 6x 3x6x2.5mm Ball Bearings (or consider using planet-gear-wo-bearings with ample grease, though longevity isn't guaranteed).
- 6x M3x6 screws.
Nylon is recommended for the planet gear system, while parts 07A and 07B can be printed in PLA or PETG. STEP file included.
