The GT2 Hall model is designed for measuring belt tension using a Hall effect sensor. Key components include:

  • Hall Sensor: SS49E
  • Digital Voltmeter: 0.36 inches, 3-wire (e.g., XH-028)
  • Magnet: 3x5 mm (can use 3x10 mm cut in half)
  • Cable: USB

Assembly steps:

  • Solder the sensor onto the voltmeter board, ensuring correct polarity.
  • Place the sensor centrally, opposite the magnet contact point.
  • The voltmeter should read around 2.4V without the magnet.

Attach the magnet if necessary. The magnet's orientation affects readings: one way increases the value, the other decreases. For accurate readings, a 10k resistor should be soldered between the input and common wire. This enhances the meter's sensitivity to slight tension changes.

Important: Adjust the belts to achieve consistent readings.
