I wanted an original looking tachometer and gauges for my 1979 Opel Kadett C. Here are the key points of the creation:

Parts: Used stock 52mm tachometer internals from an auto parts store.
Needle: The gauge needle was sourced from a broken speedometer and drilled to fit the 1mm tachometer shaft.
Decals: Vinyl decals for the sensor faceplate were printed at a local sign shop.
Dimensions: The faceplate diameter is 92mm, and the sticker size is designed for an 85mm diameter.
