This model is a heart-shaped box inspired by Japanese origami. The lid opens through a folding motion, resembling how origami unfolds. Both the box and the lid feature traditional Japanese-style patterns.
Assembly
- To assemble the hinge, insert a short piece of standard 1.75 mm filament through the hinge channel.
- You may add a small drop of super glue to the end for permanence, although this is usually unnecessary.
- Ensure the filament is trimmed flush and does not protrude.
- It is best to insert the filament while the parts are still on the build plate right after printing for easier alignment.
- Make sure the left and right lid parts are not mixed up, as this will prevent the folding mechanism from functioning.
