Loading 3D model...
I designed this sun visor for my 1983 Toyota Celica Supra. This would be a great way to replace a worn or broken stock visor for owners of 1981-1985 Toyota Celica/Supra.
Specifications:
After production, the 7.75mm diameter hole will need to be modified to fit the original OEM visor bar. Ensure that the friction fit is done correctly, as it affects how easily the visor can move when in use.
The main flat part of the visor is a 2D model created in AutoCAD, which can be uploaded to services like SendCutSend. I made mine from 3mm carbon fiber and used 3D printed aluminum for two parts of the holder and part of the rod. However, you can use any material, but remember that the choice of material will affect the friction fit. The initial prototype made from plastic was too loose.
Required hardware: all M6 components.
I would love to see how others do this, so feel free to let me know if you do!
