This recessed handle is designed for 20-25mm thick wooden sliding doors and features:

Deeper design: Reduces the risk of slipping.
Minimal overhang: Only 1.2mm, minimizing damage to the door frame during close installation.
Enhanced usability: Inner radius at the finger insertion point for better haptics, especially for individuals with disabilities.

A 32mm Forstner bit is required for the shallow recess. Four 16mm deep holes are drilled at 30mm intervals. Remaining material can be easily removed with a chisel or frame saw. The handle is attached using double-sided tape. Both parts (trough and lid) are printed using silver PETG, no supports needed.
