Gravity Fed Pet Food Dispenser

This gravity-fed pet food dispenser features a straightforward design using 50 inches of 6-inch PVC and 2 flat end caps. The height of the chute controls the amount of food that dispenses into the tray below. A simple 5.9-inch round spacer can be created to achieve the correct height for the chute within the PVC. Before drilling a 2-inch hole in the side of the 6-inch PVC, ensure to double-check the height as this diameter of PVC can be costly.

The design accommodates a 25 lb bag of cat food, providing a continuous supply without clogging. It is suitable for kibble sizes between 1/4 to 3/8 inch in diameter, as larger pieces may not flow freely. It is not recommended for outdoor use due to humidity potentially causing blockages.

With four cats that tend to scatter food, this dispenser's dropping sound engages them, reducing mess. Additionally, a sight glass is included to monitor food levels and know when to refill.
