This project focuses on constructing a Quagi beam antenna for the 70 cm / 440 MHz band, originally designed by Wayne Overbeck and others in the 1970s. The antenna provides a gain of 12 to 13 dBd.

This 3D model includes the reflector and driven elements of the antenna. The boom is made from 1" PVC pipe, while the director elements are 1/8" brass rods. The quad element wire is 12 gauge.

For mounting, you will likely need M3 screws for the bulkhead mount. It is advisable to use a drill press for drilling the holes for the director elements to ensure they are properly aligned.

Be aware that there may be variations in bulkhead mount dimensions, and additional versions of the models may be released. If your mount does not fit, please provide the spacing dimensions, and I will adjust the design accordingly.

Furthermore, note that printing may result in size variations, so it is crucial to set the distance between the driven and reflector elements based on Wayne Overbeck's calculations. This project is experimental, and builders assume their own risk.
