This model features a simple magnetic housing for a USB Power Delivery splitter, providing a 5V output through two USB-A ports from a single USB-C port.
Components:
- 2x USB Type-C breakout boards
- 3x USB Type-A breakout boards
- Magnets, 6mm diameter, 2mm height
- Spare wires, solder, etc.
Assembly:
- Set up the USB Type-C breakout board with resistors to ensure 5V delivery via the Power Delivery standard.
- Insert the three magnets into the base and place the boards.
- Cut wires to the appropriate lengths and solder them to the correct pads.
- Optionally connect the data lines (D+, D-) for USB 2.0 transmission.
- Reinsert the boards and attach the lid.
