This adapter is designed to fit 6.5-inch speakers into the awkward 5.75-inch mounts installed in Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicles.
Installation Instructions:
- The adapter fits a larger speaker into a smaller hole by moving the speaker profile forward.
- Tested on the rear speakers of a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, but should work for most Chrysler vehicles.
- Depending on the screw size, you may need to drill holes to accommodate a 6.5-inch speaker.
- It is recommended to glue the foam protector to the speaker before installation.
- Do NOT over-tighten the screws to avoid stripping the plastic; they will tighten just enough.
- Be careful to use a screwdriver rather than a drill to avoid over-tightening and damaging your new speakers.
