Problem: The front PTF masks on the BMW 6 Series are located very low and are the first to take impacts from stones, ice or curbs. If the frame is damaged, the headlight may begin to vibrate or fall out completely, and the appearance of a luxury coupe will instantly deteriorate. It is difficult to find this part separately from the bumper at a disassembly site, and new original trims are unreasonably expensive for a simple piece of plastic.
Solution: This digital 3D model is an exact copy of the PTF front frame. It is designed to fit the complex aerodynamic shape of the E63/E64 bumper and all stock mounting hardware, allowing the printed part to snap into place in seconds.
Model specifications:
Compatibility: BMW 6 Series (E63 Coupe, E64 Convertible). Fits standard bumpers (not M package unless otherwise stated).
Purpose: Decorative frame-holder for the fog lamp in the front bumper.
File Format: STL (High Definition for Smooth Printing).
Features: Reinforced latches for secure fixation in the bumper.
3D Printing Recommendations:
The part is located at the “front line” of the car and is subjected to sandblasting and vibration:
Material: ASA or ABS recommended. ASA is the best choice as it does not fade in the sun and is very durable. PETG is acceptable for painting. PLA cannot be used.
Filling: 40–100% (for the strength of the mounting “ears”).
Layer height: 0.15 mm.
Post-processing: Sanding, primer on plastic and painting matte black or gloss (depending on the finish of your car).
