Cover for towing hook in the front bumper of Volkswagen Vento / Jetta III / Golf Mk3

We present an accurate digital 3D model (STL file) of the towing hook cover (towbar) for the front bumper of Volkswagen Vento / Jetta Mk3 platform vehicles. The towing eye plug is the most commonly lost part. It can fly off due to vibration on a bad road, get lost in a car wash, or become the prey of vandals. It is extremely difficult to find an original cover at car wrecking yards, and driving with a “hole” in the bumper is unsightly. Our 3D model allows you to solve this problem in a couple of hours: simply download the file and print a durable and neat replacement that will perfectly cover the technological hole. Features of our 3D model: Precise geometry: The face is designed to follow the curve of the original VAG bumper, providing even clearances. Reliable fastening: The fixing ears and latches are modeled so that the part sits tightly in the seat and does not fly out when driving. Print Ready: The STL file is free of manifold errors and optimized for FDM printing. 3D Printing Recommendations: Material: Since the part is located on the front bumper, it absorbs impacts from small stones, road chemicals, temperature changes and ultraviolet radiation. The best choice would be ASA or ABS. The use of PETG is allowed, but PLA is strongly discouraged. Equipment settings: When using high-speed closed printers of the Bambu Lab P1S level, printing this part from ASA plastic will take a minimum of time and will ensure ideal solidity of the latches. Be sure to use table glue to avoid delaminated corners. Orientation and support: To ensure maximum fracture strength of the fastening lugs, try to position the part so that the layers do not lie parallel to the bending vector of the latch. Use Tree supports for overhanging elements. Post-processing: The front side of the finished part can be sanded, coated with plastic primer and painted in body color, or use structural paint for bumpers.
