Are you faced with the fact that the wipers on your Mercedes B180 have started to slip, work intermittently or have completely frozen? The most common cause is worn or licked teeth on the plastic gear inside the windshield wiper motor. Buying a new assembly is extremely expensive, and finding the original gear separately is almost impossible.
This 3D model is an exact copy of the factory part, designed to restore the functionality of the windshield wiper trapezoid. The geometry of the teeth and mounting hole fully corresponds to the original, which guarantees smooth operation of the mechanism without unnecessary play.
Advantages of using a 3D model:
Precision Restoration: The model is created from the original part, maintaining all tolerances.
Significant savings: The cost of printing a part is tens of times lower than purchasing a new windshield wiper motor.
Reinforcement Capability: Unlike molded factory plastic, you can print the part from more durable engineering materials.
⚙️ Technical recommendations for printing:
Material: Shear strength and friction resistance are critical for this part. The best choice is Nylon (Nylon) or PA12CF (nylon with carbon fiber). In extreme cases, high density PETG can be used, but the service life will be reduced. PLA is absolutely not suitable.
Infill: 100% (solid infill for maximum torque transmission).
Layers: The recommended layer height is 0.1–0.12 mm for the most accurate formation of the tooth profile.
Post-treatment: Before installation, it is recommended to generously lubricate the teeth with lithium grease or specialized lubricant for plastic gears.
