In minor accidents, damage to the bumper, or simply from time to time, plastic covers and brackets for parking sensors (PDC) often crack or get lost. Finding this small part separately from the sensor or bumper itself can be extremely difficult, and ordering the original can be time-consuming and expensive.
This 3D model (kit for BMW G20 and Volvo XC90) is designed for quick and accurate replacement of damaged parts. The geometry of the seats is designed taking into account factory tolerances, which guarantees tight fixation of the sensor itself and reliable installation of the cover into the bumper without gaps. The surface of the model is prepared in such a way that after printing the part can be easily primed and painted in body color.
Advantages of our 3D model:
Perfect compatibility: Precise fit of the parking sensor, eliminating false alarms due to distortions.
Versatility: The model can be easily sanded and painted to completely match the exterior of the car.
Savings: The cost of printing this small part is tens of times lower than purchasing a new bracket or sensor assembly.
⚙️ Recommendations for 3D printing:
Printing technology: Due to small latches and high requirements for the smoothness of the front surface, SLA (photopolymer resin) printing is an ideal option - use ABS-like or Tough engineering resins.
For FDM printing (plastic filament):
Material: The part is outdoors, so use ASA (ideally withstands UV rays and temperature changes), ABS or durable PETG.
Nozzle and layers: It is recommended to use a 0.4 mm nozzle (or better 0.25 - 0.3 mm for small parts) and a layer height of 0.1 - 0.12 mm.
Infill: 100% (the part is small, continuous filling will give the required strength to thin walls).
Supports: Mandatory for internal sensor latches.
