Tesla owners know that small plastic parts—whether tow hook covers, connector covers, or hub caps—are easily lost or damaged during use. Finding an original part separately can be difficult and time-consuming, and leaving technological holes open means exposing the mechanisms to dirt and spoiling the minimalistic appearance of the electric car.
This 3D model is designed to closely match Tesla factory standards. The geometry of the fasteners and the thickness of the walls are adjusted in such a way that the part is securely fixed (“until it clicks”) and does not fall out due to vibrations while driving.
⚠️ Important: This is a digital file (STL/STEP) for DIY 3D printing. You get the opportunity to make a part yourself or in a printing studio, which is much faster and cheaper than ordering the original.
Advantages of our 3D model:
High accuracy: Model tested for compatibility with body/interior mountings.
Aesthetics: The front surface is designed with minimal post-processing to maintain Tesla style.
Durability: Reinforced latches that do not break upon first installation.
⚙️ Recommendations for 3D printing:
Material: For external parts (bumper, wheels) we highly recommend ASA (better resistance to ultraviolet and chemicals) or ABS. PETG is suitable for interior solutions. The use of PLA is not recommended due to the low deformation temperature in the sun.
Layers: 0.12–0.16 mm for smooth surface curves.
Infill: 40-100% depending on the required hardness.
Perimeters (Walls): Minimum 3-4 lines to ensure elasticity of the clamps.
Supports: Depending on the orientation of the model (tree supports are recommended for a clean surface).
