Savings: Printing a damaged element from durable plastic is tens of times cheaper than buying a new grille. ⚙️ Recommendations for 3D printing: Material: The part is installed in the front bumper, so resistance to impact, chemicals and ultraviolet radiation is critical. Use only ASA, ABS or impact resistant nylon (PA). PLA and regular PETG will not withstand the operating conditions on the front of a car. Infill: At least 40-60% to ensure the strength of the honeycomb when exposed to fine gravel. Nozzle and layers: Nozzle 0.4 mm, layer height 0.16 – 0.2 mm for smooth walls. Post-processing: When printing from ABS/ASA, the part can be lightly processed in an acetone bath to give it the factory matte or glossy shine (depending on the configuration of your car).
