I resolved the space issue under the passenger seat, as seen in the photos.

Instructions:

To fasten the hinges, use an M3 screw with an inserted lock nut.
The door is held in the closed position with neodymium magnetic self-adhesive tape.
I disassembled the original console that had the toolbox installed.
