To install a satellite navigation system using a RAM mount on a BMW R1100RT, it is suggested to use a spring washer and a larger washer on top of the mount to prevent the screw head from sinking into the print.
Use an O-ring in the groove of the ball - this will allow you to avoid over-tightening the RAM mount clamp to prevent it from moving.
