The pinnacle of the motorsport maelstrom is the BMW S54B32. For those unfamiliar, the BMW S54 engine was available in the E46 M3 (2000-2006), Z3 M Coupe/ Convertible (2000-2002) and Z4 M Coupe/ Convertible (2006-2008). It's a wolf in sheep's clothing, a punchy racing engine housed in a road car chassis, and now you can print it out! The file includes .STL files for the S54 long block as well as the engine stands. The included S54 files are scaled to 100%. Simply scale down the engine parts to suit the size of your build platform, I printed at 25% (1:4). The engine stand is scaled at 1:4 scale, so if you are printing at a larger scale please keep that in mind. The total print time on my printer was about 60 hours, so relatively speaking this is not a time consuming project. ______________________________________________________________________________ **MINOR UPDATE** For some reason there is no preview photo of the cylinder head, but it should still be included in all file downloads, or you can find it in the Stuff Files tab and download that way. I also loaded an updated engine stand that mounts directly to the rear of the engine, eliminating the need for flimsy arms. ______________________________________________________________________________ **UPDATE** I added the stock airbox, long pipe headers, engine cover and oil filler cap, and throttle bodies. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Hardware required: M3x22mm 14x for cylinder head bolts M3x12mm 4x for engine arm bolts M3x10mm 12x for valve cover 0-80 x 3/16" 25x for oil pan 0-80 x 3/8" 10x for front/rear cover 0-80 x 1/2" 10x for Front/Back Cover 0.050" Allen Key 2.5mm Allen Key Some holes may need to be "cleaned out" with a 1/16" drill bit for 0-80 bolts and a 1/8" drill bit for M3 bolts - stay tuned as I update this with headers, original ITBs, air box and more Happy Printing!
