After replacing my car window clips with the Geckoslayers design, which broke after just a few weeks, I decided to strengthen them and add extra material without compromising their functionality.
Depending on your print tolerances, you may need to mill some spaces. I recommend using a 2.5mm drill bit, which fits the guides well. If you have a Dremel or something similar, you might use that, but I was able to use a drill bit and just push it to the side as needed.
I also found that putting the wire back together is quite easy if you press the assembly firmly against the non-rotating pulley and then use a g-clamp between the clamp and the end stop to release the spring tension, allowing you to reconnect the last wire by hand with minimal effort.
