If you own a 2012 Hyundai Imax or Iload, this guide may be useful.
When installing LED lamps, keep in mind the following:
- The lamp mount is part of the socket, so you cannot simply replace halogen bulbs with LED ones.
- The LED bulb has a heat pipe connected to a cooling fan and a driver module with flexible leads to connect to the retaining ring.
- The fixing tabs of the bracket/adapter fit well into the reflector body.
- Make sure to file/smooth the 3 curved locking tabs for a smooth installation.
- You may need to change the height or diameter of the center spacer depending on your LED/HID bulb.
- Modifying the reflector housing may be necessary for wiring or an LED driver to ensure waterproofing and stability.
