If you tend to place your laptop bag (or similar items) in front of the passenger seat in your car, you may need this clip. It will keep your unsecured bag from flying forward during braking.

Print this handy little clip, then take a seat belt webbing (about 35 to 40mm wide, a common size used for shoulder straps on bags) and clip it on as shown in the included pictures. Determine the length you need. If you modify the shoulder strap of your laptop bag, like I did, you will have a clip that allows you to adjust its length.

To secure the bag, simply place the end of the belt loop over the car's seat belt slot, pull and secure the seat belt as if there was a passenger in the seat (this will ensure the bag clip is secured in place), and then thread the other end of the strap through the handle of the bag and attach the 3D printed clip back to the belt to prevent it from sliding forward.

Making a strap is easy: the simplest way is to modify an existing shoulder strap from a bag, cut it to the desired length, and hand sew it back into the loop if necessary.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When installed correctly, the closed side of the 3D printed clip should be on the same side as the seat belt socket. This ensures the clip cannot come off the belt as the belt is pulled toward the closed side of the clip.

NISSAN VERSION: Two .stl files are attached. One is for the holding clamp only, while the second includes a seat belt buckle that clips directly into the seat belt socket of a late model Nissan (Qashqai). This eliminates the need to pull on the seat belt to secure the end of the loop you made, providing a tidier solution for Nissan owners.
