This is a 3D printed headlight and front turn signal assembly for the 2015 Honda Grom. This project started because the stock turn signals kept breaking. I replaced the rear turn signals using a purchased brake light with integrated turn signals. My options for the front were not as good, so I designed something to replace the silver bar on the sides of the stock Grom headlight.
However, I found the part had too many curves and angles that I couldn't manage, and I wasn't pleased with the stock look, so I replaced it with a standard 5 1/4 round motorcycle headlamp.
Parts:
Warning: You will lose the ability to select between high and low beams with this lamp. Both the Grom and this lamp have three wires; one high, one low, and one common. The difference is one has a common ground and one has common +12v.
I never found an elegant solution and just wired up a permanent low beam since I never leave the city or get on the highway with this bike.
Higher capacity battery: (optional) link
Due to the sheer number of LEDs, these turn signals do pull a decent amount of power. After two photoshoots, I had to push-start the bike, and the lithium battery means I don't have to be as careful about when I leave the lights on.
