The gas struts on my JK Jeep Wrangler were starting to wear out and would not hold up the glass anymore, so I printed this strut helper that snaps on the strut and keeps it up when needed.

You only need 1 of these to hold the rear glass on a Jeep.
PLA has been working fine for me, but in hot summer days it may shrink over time, so consider using PETG or ABS.
Print orientation should be with "Jeep Life" facing down on the print bed.
The strut diameter measures roughly 5/8", so this might also work on other vehicles and hood struts as well.
