Replacement for MOPAR 55037537AA

This part does NOT fit Cherokee models 1984-1996 but should fit all trim levels from 1997 to 2001. The part has been thickened and gusseted in areas prone to failure on OEM parts.

Printing Instructions:

• Print perpendicular to the bed surface.
• Over 50% infill is recommended, though 100% infill may cause cracking due to stiffness.
• Use any 3D-based pattern for strength.
• Tri-hexagon pattern was used for testing.
• Tree supports and basic raft should be used.

A PLA prototype has performed well since installation. In-vehicle temperatures ranged from 55°F to 85°F with no visible deformation or weakness. PETG and ABS are preferred for full longevity.

Installation Notes:

• For Rev. 07, adjustment may be needed on both sides of the hinge. Often, no adjustment is required, but due to the tolerances of Chrysler manufacturing between 1997-2001, the latch may need to be moved as far forward as possible by loosening, pulling forward (upward), and re-tightening the mounting screws.
• Future designs will include slotted mounting holes.
