Control Arm Bushing Install Helper for 2009+ Chrysler Van

This tool helps assist in installing the forward control arm bushing on 2009+ Chrysler Vans (Dodge Caravan, Town and Country, VW Routan).

Installation without this tool was difficult as the bushing kept tearing. It compresses the bushing into a conical shape for easier fitting into the control arm.

The difference between the 115k mile bushings and brand new ones was about 5mm in thickness. I used medium weight silicone lubricant, similar to dielectric grease, on the cone and the control arm. I printed in PETG for some flex at 90-100 infill.

For safety, I wore eye protection and wrapped an appropriately sized plumbing hose clamp around it to contain it in case of explosion or cracking.

The file labeled 'press' is the conical shape. The file labeled 'cup' is to be used at the other end to allow the bushing to clear your tool, but it is UNTESTED.
