Design Changes:
In this remix of the original supports, the following changes were made:
- Added a radius to all sharp corners/edges to prevent stress concentrations
- Added a large radius to the inside corners where the flange connects to the cylinder on the two large supports
- Adjusted the inner diameter of the cylinders to fit the original rubber dampers from the KIA motor cover
- Reduced the height of all 4 cylinders by 5mm
- Increased the inner diameter of the through holes to 8.5mm for easier bolt fitting
- Added small radii at all outer corners for better printability
Printing:
Ultimaker Cura was used for slicing. Total build size ~126x190x65mm. Material: PLA matte black, approximately 250g (71.2m of 1.75mm wire). No support needed, no overhang. Layer height 0.2mm, 35% cubic infill. Speed: 55 mm/s. Configuration: 3 wall lines and brim. Total print time just under 20 hours.
Assembly:
Use 8 carriage bolts M8x30. To prevent loosening, use Loctite or similar on the nuts.
