Installation of Seat Heater Control in Mitsubishi Mirage

Many Mitsubishi Mirage cars (known as "Space Star" in Europe) do not have heated seats, which is not ideal for cold days. You can purchase carbon fiber seat heating mats with cables and controls on eBay for around $40. But where to position the control knob? The center console lacks free space for this control.

I don’t need two cupholders, so I decided to mount my seat heater control in the left cupholder and created a mount that fits perfectly. No glue is required. You just need to drill a 20mm hole in the middle of the cupholder button to pass the cable through.

I covered the mount with leather for a more stylish finish. If you build this, please share pictures! :-)

• Determine where to place the heater control in the cupholder.
• Drill a hole for the cable.
• Cover the mount with leather.
