This model is designed to be fully 3D printed with the addition of one part. The design features a void space in the knife to accommodate a 6mm solid carbon rod for strength. The rods can be easily found at hobby shops and online. The rod should be just shy of 220mm (8.6 inches). The overall length of the knife is about 10 inches, with a blade length of approximately 5.5 inches.

It is recommended to print the first 2-3mm in carbon reinforced filament to aid in edge durability and resemble the folded steel of a samurai sword; then switch to a standard color for style. The grip is printed separately and is glued to the main body with CA glue.
