This dollhouse window can be scaled up to 1:12 by 200% in X and Y, but keep Z at 100% to maintain thickness. Sandwich acetate between the two halves for the glass.
Beveled Glass Technique Material List:
I generally paint the glass leading with black or dark grey and the wood in any color to suit your taste. Allow this to dry properly before continuing. Cut a piece of Saran/Glad wrap larger than the perimeter of the window. Gently lay it flat on the glass, stretch it out nice and flat, and secure with masking tape. Using a soft brush, cover the plastic wrap with a nice thick creamy layer of Polyurethane larger than the perimeter of the window. Work quickly; do not allow the poly to begin to dry. Carefully lay one side of the window onto the wet poly, being very careful not to move it around too much to avoid messing up the leading in the window. Set aside and allow to dry overnight. Remove the tape, trim the poly to the window perimeter, and carefully turn over the window to repeat the process. Allow to dry overnight. The dried poly will act as glue and hold the two window halves together, but some glue around the perimeter is suggested. I exclusively print with PLA and have found that ordinary clear lacquer thinner (nail polish remover) is a wonderful glue. Conduct a small test on two pieces of scrap PLA and give it a try. Let sit for 20 seconds and then try to break it apart. It leaves no residue and is applied with a small brush. I've been using lacquer thinner as glue on styrene and PLA for years. For heavier construction, use Testors
