This square ruler is designed for a 1.00mm x 28.50mm steel ruler. I provided the CAD (Fusion) file and Step file to modify it for other size rulers.
It uses a heat-set, 5mm brass threaded insert and a 5mm brass thumbscrew available on Amazon. There is also an optional printed shim that fits into a slot to ensure the brass screw does not contact the steel ruler directly (this is included in the same CAD file).
I successfully used PLA. Note the printing settings and instructions:
- Use auto place in Bambu Studio for more accurate part placement on the bed.
- Ensure the ruler fits snugly but not too tight.
