The molded plastic W126 handbrake handle is prone to cracking over time. Many used parts available online are often problematic since they are usually assembled from scrap, and the brittleness results from the aging process of the plastic. This is a 3D printed alternative, providing you with a brand new component!

I have made some adjustments to the shape to avoid the original thin section that contributed to cracking, making it chunkier for enhanced strength.

  • Two options:
  • Counterbored parts use the existing bolt from the original handle.
  • Countersunk parts are designed for an M5x25 countersunk screw, allowing for more plastic material for strength.

Ensure you select and print the correct pair (note that the nut recesses also have different depths for various bolt lengths).

As always, exercise caution when making any modifications to your vehicle; the author is not responsible for any accidents or damages incurred as a result of using this design.
