Astral Pulse

This is my little recreation of the Astral Pulse from the game Dispatch. While not perfectly game accurate, I took some creative liberties to make it easier to print, focusing on getting the correct size and scale.

Dimensions:

• Diameter: 30mm
• Length: approximately 85mm (length can vary based on assembly)

Both sides are designed to connect using pieces of filament cut to length. The 'glass' is made from a thin piece of clear plastic rolled into a tube. The spirals are created with colored paper. The best method for making them at this scale is likely resin printing in a semi-translucent material. I didn't include internal space for lighting, but it should be feasible, albeit challenging, to fit an LED powered by a CR2025 on one or both sides. A simpler method may be to use UV-reactive glow-in-the-dark paints.

Printing Settings:

• Updated model has a split base into internal and external pieces for much easier assembly.
• It's now possible to paint and build the internal 'core' part first, then slide a clear tube around it and secure it using the top and bottom external base covers.
