A 3D version of the Maker Faire robot. This model serves as a great "Hello world" test for 3D printers. Based on Kim Dow's illustration of the Maker Faire robot, it was designed by MAKE Labs Engineering Intern, Eric Chu.

Recommended printing settings:

  • Layer height: 0.1mm - 0.2mm
  • Hollow print with 2 perimeters/walls

Settings for the arms-down robot with supports:

  • Layer height: 0.1mm (supports need to be printed at this height for easy removal)

A recommended Cura profile is included for Ulimakers users.

Note for Slic3r users: Slic3r may have issues generating tool paths for the "M" on the chest and the MAKE logo on the back. Scaling the part up to 200% may fix this, but the robot will be larger. Always check your G-code before printing!

Here’s a simple in-browser G-code viewer: gcode viewer
