This bearing is unique as it can only be manufactured by 3D printing and comes preassembled.
Features:
- Functions like a combination of needle bearing and thrust bearing.
- No cage is required to keep the rollers in place.
- All gears are herringbone, making it non-disassemblable and capable of acting as a thrust bearing.
Printing and Settings:
- Minimum tolerance between moving parts is crucial.
- Recommended to use MakerWare medium defaults.
- Initial usage requires a significant torque to break free.
Settings can be adjusted in the Customizer app to change dimensions, number of planets, and number of teeth.
