This birdhouse features two entrances, ventilation through the chimney and windows, and sloped drains in the base for fluid runoff. Multiple interior platforms are built into the corners for birds to nest in protected spots. Along with the veranda, there are also three perches for birds.
The design includes two center-aligned screw slots for tree mounting and two decorative support trusses for extra stability. The birdhouse is designed to print without support material, with the body printing as a single piece.
It is recommended to print in PLA on a printer with a build platform at least 220 mm long and 150 mm wide. The model contains bridges that most printers should handle well. It is designed to accommodate small birds like finches and blue-jays.
Printing Instructions:
- Print the body as a single part.
- Then print the base.
- After that, print two eave perches and the chimney.
- If extra support is needed, print the two trusses and slide them in from the back.
