This is an experimental piece created to develop techniques for making complex snap-together models. The main design goals include:
- Game-accurate color using the intrinsic color of the plastic with no painting required.
- No directional bias as seen in single-piece cubes with different finishes on sides.
- Each part is printed flat on the bed, eliminating noticeable seams.
- All pieces snap together without glue.
The cube is separated into colored parts - white, grey, and pink, totaling 40 pieces that need to be assembled in a specific order. For assembly, follow these instructions:
- Print 6 white and 6 pink face pieces.
- Print 8 grey and 8 white corner pieces.
- Print 12 white edge pieces.
Clean up any stray strings or blobs, especially inside the grey corner and white face pieces. Press one white face piece onto each pink face piece. If necessary, you may need to shave the inside of the heart outline for a clean snap fit. After that, join the corner and edge pieces as instructed to securely assemble everything without glue.
