This is a fully customizable and easy to print gyro. The customizer code is optimized to generate the design really fast. It also features a new customization option for setting slider widget step size. The script is thoroughly commented, which is helpful for those learning to write OpenSCAD code.
Printing Settings:
- Print with no supports, as it will not have overhangs greater than 45 degrees.
- For small gyros, I print without infill for faster printing (the one in the photo printed in 1 hour).
- For larger gyros, consider the following options:
- Increase the infill percentage.
- Increase the number of shells.
- Increase the height of the gyro.
- Increase the thickness of the rings.
All these options make the rings stiffer, helping them not to fall apart at larger diameters.
