Pangolins are facing a critical extinction crisis, primarily due to human actions driven by superstition and greed. These mammals, covered in tough overlapping scales, are far from aggressive and rely on their scales for protection against predators. However, they are one of the most hunted animals globally because of the false belief that their meat has medicinal properties and that their scales can aid in curing impotence.

As their numbers dwindle, some individuals consume them as a status symbol, pushing these gentle creatures closer to extinction. Although international trade in pangolins has been banned by CITES since 2000, and they are listed as protected species in most Asian countries, pangolins remain threatened by smuggling and poaching.

The disappearance of pangolins would be a devastating outcome, and only the strict enforcement of laws against poachers and pangolin consumers can effectively tackle this crisis. We must act now to save pangolins!

3D Model Description:

This pangolin model was created with a focus on both appearance and functionality. I dedicated a significant amount of time to its development, revising it through at least six versions before presenting it to you. This project was a true challenge for me, and I hope you will feel its essence when you hold the model in your hands.
