This project is a mounting system for lightweight objects such as phones and small cameras. The joint is compatible with GoPro mounts.
Phone clamp assembly video: Watch video
Features:
- Modular design for flexible use.
- Allows mounting most phones and small cameras onto various objects.
- The included phone clamp securely holds devices ranging from 55mm to 95mm wide (e.g., iPhone 4 - iPhone 12 Pro Max and larger).
- Clamp hook is angled to prevent accidental side button presses on the phone.
- Modules are compatible with GoPro equipment.
- Standard M5 bolts and nuts included in the design. It is recommended to use metal bolts and nuts for the arms.
Applications:
- Phone/Camera/GoPro mount.
- Desk stand for phone/camera.
- Headphone stand.
- And many more applications in the REMIX section of the original page.
Printing Settings:
- It is highly recommended to print with full support for the parts in this project, which will result in a flat bottom and improved mechanical performance.
- The orientation of the STL files is well thought out; print in the current orientation unless problems arise.
- Reorienting the arms to save support material is not recommended.
- The bolt is horizontally oriented for optimized strength. Bottom teeth are trimmed for easier printing.
- Only the phone clamp bolt (M5x65) is recommended for the printed version. All arm bolts should be metal if possible.
Notes:
- Extending the arm too long is not recommended, as standard filament may not handle high lateral loads, leading to instability.
- The arms are optimized to remain still.
- If using this design as a selfie stick or for similar purposes, please consider material strength and use at your own risk.
