Bed Leveling Upgrade for Anet A6/A8 3D Printers

Manual bed leveling for the Anet A6/A8 can be awkward, but this modification makes it much easier. Our solution allows you to cover the entire hotbed, as no access to adjustment bolts is required anymore. All adjustments are made with the thumbwheels!

Benefits:

• Fully metal hot end allows you to heat the bed for ABS, Nylon, and other high-temperature filaments without damaging the bed level adjustment.

What you will need for assembly:

• 4x springs
• 4x M3*30 screws

Additionally, you will need:

• 8x M3 nuts (optional: use self-locking nuts for thumbwheels)
• 4x steel/nylon M3 washers (optional: larger ones are recommended, but regular ones will suffice)
• 4x spring caps (must be printed)
• 4x thumbwheels (must be printed)

Tools required:

• A 3mm or 1/8" drill for stripping M3 thread

Note: To make this bed level upgrade, you will need to strip the M3 thread in the Y carriage aluminum frame. This action is irreversible. If your heatbed has copper traces under the washers, it is recommended to use nylon washers to protect the heating element.

Follow the photos for assembly. The M3 nuts fit tightly in the thumbwheels to prevent them from falling out.
