A common problem with OPEL Corsa D is a broken air intake grille. The horizontal adjustment does not work, and the fins are stuck.
Reasons for the issue:
- The vertical fins are stuck due to high friction (dirt, grease leakage, etc.) with the vent body;
- The vertical fin handle holder is cracked, causing the movement mechanism to fail and lose contact with the fins.
Solution:
- Clean the ventilation grill from dirt and old grease;
- Enlarge the holes where the vertical fins are attached by approximately 0.2 mm for easier rotation;
- Install a fastening mechanism for the fin rotation. Attach it using an M3 screw, and drill a 3.5 mm hole in the vent body;
- Lubricate the mechanism, and the job is done!
