This is my interpretation of the first Opel transporters used by the Wehrmacht during the Blitzkrieg period of World War II.
There were three versions of the Opel Blitz 3-ton truck: the first version had wheel arches and was unsuitable for cargo transport, while the second had a cargo compartment raised above the rear wheels, allowing it to be used for both troops and cargo. In early 1941, a new version was introduced with high side rails, and in late 1942, some savings were made by deleting the rear mudguards, the Opel logo on the bonnet, and the searchlight in the cockpit. From August 1944 until the end of the war, only Opel blitz trucks with a standardized wooden cab (Einheits-Fahrerhaus) were produced, and this was the last 3-tonne Opel blitz truck used by the German Wehrmacht.
I wargame in 1/144 scale, so all my models are in that scale, but they are fairly easy to scale to whatever size you want.
