Model Description: The Open Source Orbital Shaker is designed for mammalian cell and tissue culture as well as for bench-top scientific applications. It fits inside standard 37°C/5% CO2 cell incubators without generating heat.

Construction Features:

  • Utilizes an Arduino to control a stepper motor;
  • Simple and cost-effective design;
  • Incorporates rubber tubing to dampen vibrations;
  • Operates at a speed range from 0.2 to 5 Hz.

Printing Recommendations: Print one PlateSlab and one MotorShaftHolder. Use tubing with an outer diameter of 8 mm for the motor shaft holder to fit precisely into the 608 skate bearing. Secure with a 50 mm M3 socket cap bolt.
