The SphereBot is a device designed to plot images on spherical objects such as table tennis balls, golf balls, and eggs. Inspired by the original EggBot, it is constructed using old stepper motors and steel rods. The design incorporates MDF, plywood, and several 3D-printed parts.

Key Features:

  • Utilizes an Arduino and two Polulu A4983 stepper motor drivers.
  • Directly interprets GCode sent via serial port.
  • Compatible with vector graphics through the Inkscape plugin for GCode conversion.

Printing Recommendations:

To ensure optimal performance, use high-quality 3D-printed parts and configure the Arduino properly. The source code for the firmware and applications for various operating systems is available on GitHub.
